Facial Steamers: Worth the Price?

Facial Steamers: Worth the Price?

Have you ever considered adding a facial steamer to your skincare routine? These at-home devices have been all over the internet with beauty influencers promoting them. But do you really need one? It depends on your skincare goals and concerns.

If you're looking to add some relaxation and luxury to your skincare routine, or if you have specific skin concerns that a facial steamer might help with (e.g., congestion, dryness), then it might be worth giving one a try. The idea behind facial steamers is pretty simple - they use warm, moist air to soften up your pores.

In the facial treatment room, we use facial steamers while we cleanse or exfoliate to prep the skin for the extraction process. It also adds a nice pampering touch to a facial.

But here's the thing - facial steamers aren't for everyone. If you have sensitive skin, rosacea, or any other condition that makes your skin easily irritated, you might want to steer clear of these devices. They can be a bit harsh, and overuse can lead to redness, dryness, and other issues. Also if you are a skincare minimalist not taking a lot of time for your nightly routine, this could end up collecting dust and not being used!

That being said, if you're someone who enjoys a long, luxurious skincare routine and you don't have sensitive skin, a facial steamer can be a great addition to your routine. Just don't go overboard - once or twice a week should be plenty. I think this one from Amazon is a great price and is perfect for at home use STEAMER

So, if you're in the market for a new skincare gadget and you think a facial steamer might be right for you, go for it! Just be sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions and start slowly to see how your skin reacts. And remember - skincare is all about balance, so don't get too carried away.

Do you have a facial steamer? If so do you use it regularly and see a positive difference in the skin?
